Social inclusion is a term that describes the efforts of an institution to elevate the dignity of society and individual independence as the main capital to achieve a better quality of life. Social inclusion can also be said to be an approach used to protect rights and enhance roles, status, and conditions, as well as the abilities and dignity of individuals and groups of women and men. Gender-based disparities and inequalities can hinder some people, such as women, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups, from gaining access, participating, controlling, and experiencing the benefits of development.
